One of my favorite parts of the day is story time. Eleanor is only 3 months old so she still isn’t super into books yet, but I love the quiet time we spend together as a family before she goes to bed. After her bath, we get her all cozy in her pajamas then head to the nursery to read her a story. Normally she nods off, but I keep reading the book.
I am sure you have heard time and time again just how important it is to read to your little angel. Well, I’m not going to harp on that because it’s honestly not even why I read to Eleanor daily. After we welcomed little Ellie into the world, I felt disconnected. I didn’t know what to do, and when I would get sad or overwhelmed with all the changes that being a new mom entailed, I simply grabbed a book, sat down on the floor, and read to her. This quickly became a habit and it has helped me to bond with my sweet baby so much. I can not wait until she gets a little older and can really understand the books I read to her. I dream of days spent wandering through the isles of the library on the hunt for the perfect storybook!
Recently, I was introduced to a company called Wonderbly and I am head over heals. They create custom books that you can incorporate your child’s name into and even pick the characters to look like them! One of these books would make a great gift and I can not wait to give this to my best friend, Natalie, as a baby shower gift! If you are on the hunt for a special gift for a child in your life you can check out Wonderbly HERE!
